Het Moundersplak, a pleasant stay in the middle of the polder.

A special experience in the middle of the polder between wind, water and on the edge of a wetland for meadow birds with a bird hut (open during the breeding season). A completely natural and pleasant experience. Anyone who wants to spend the night under the wings of the Puollen mill in Dronryp can go to the Rest Point Moundersplak where, among other things, two hiker's huts have been built. A rest point where cyclists, hikers and bird watchers can enjoy a cup of coffee, tea and more on a self-service basis. You can also spend the night here in a beautiful rural environment at the Puolfeart. A historical place as a base for the exploring tourist within the municipality of Waadhoeke. Discover the people behind the names of Eise Eisinga (Planetarium), Sir Lawrence Alma-Tadema (British-Dutch painter) but also discover our countryside with its beautiful villages, where the stories are still told and not described in brochures and magazines. Go out and discover! Click on the link below for availability and to make a reservation. Tractor hut Koningsspil or Bonkelaar

The Moundersplak You are most welcome at the monumental Moundersplak. We are affiliated with the national foundation Rustpunt. You can enjoy a cup of coffee/tea or soft drink in peace and quiet (on a self-service basis) in "de Kofjekeamer fan de Mounder" (the Miller's Coffee Room). In a beautiful Frisian rural setting you can enjoy the landscape on the border of the Klei and the Greiden and the beautiful views towards Dronrijp, Boksum, Winsum, Menaam and Leeuwarden. The Moundersplak has a bicycle service point (tyre repair, small repair kit and bicycle pump), bicycle charging point and a (senior) toilet.
Mill de Puollen When the mill is turning, it can be visited free of charge. The miller will be happy to tell you about its old function and operation of this polder mill from 1850. The mill is capable of turning and grinding. When visiting the mill and there is sufficient wind, you can see the mill in full operation. See how more than 35,000 litres of water per minute swirl under the mill via Archimedes' screw, the mortar.
